Tanner was born and raised just north of Orlando, FL. No, he did not go to Disney all the time. Tanner attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA for undergrad where he majored in biochemistry and minored in mathematics. While there, he worked in a stem cell laboratory before completing two internships in the biotechnology industry at Moderna Therapeutics and Warp Drive Bio. In the Muir lab, Tanner is interested in the mechanisms of chromatin architecture regulation and how perturbations in these regulatory systems result in disease. Outside of the lab, Tanner enjoys exercising, reading, cooking, and traveling with his girlfriend.
