Aishan was a graduate student in Muir lab, studying the agr Quorum Sensing system in S. aureus. She’s now wrapping up her project identifying the key proteases in the autoinducing peptide biosysnthesis, and screening for a global inhibitor of agr (collaboration with Suga lab). Seeing how wonderful her colleagues have been doing, she understands what is the expectation behind the word “postdoc”, and having her photo among these amazing people gives her more courage and confidence than a PhD degree.
