Michelle obtained her PhD in chemistry from Vanderbilt University where she worked with Larry Marnett to understand the allosteric regulation of cyclooxygenase-2 by two of its substrates. In the Muir lab, she is interested in examining the biophysical and biochemical consequences of cancer-associated histone mutations. Outside of the lab, Michelle enjoys running, baking, singing, and visiting family and friends.
