During his undergraduate studies, Alan worked with Prof. Lynette Cegelski at Stanford University where he studied vancomycin-arginine conjugates and their antibiotic activities against mycobacteria. In the Muir group, Alan is interested in studying the S. aureus agr quorum sensing pathway. Outside of lab, Alan enjoys kickboxing, playing guitar, and friends.
