Nir obtained his PhD in Chemistry from Tel Aviv University, where he worked with Doron Shabat on the development of novel chemiluminescent compounds suitable for bioimaging applications. In the Muir lab, he is interested in exploring the effects of histone post-translational modifications on various biochemical processes. Outside the lab, Nir enjoys spending time with his family and reading stories to his children.
