Shany obtained her Ph.D. in cell biology from the University of Basel, Switzerland, working with Mohamed Bentires-Alj on the effects of mutant PI-3-Kinase signaling in breast cancer. After transitioning into chromatin biology working at the incubator lab at the FMI/University of Basel in Switzerland, she joined the Muir lab to study BAF chromatin remodeling complexes.
Outside of the lab, Shany enjoys spending time with family and friends, and whenever time allows Yoga, writing and movies.
