Nourhan obtained her bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry from Rutgers University in 2016. After graduation, she worked in the laboratory of Gaetano Montelione at CABM where she utilized Nuclear Magnetic Resonance to conduct structure-function studies of proteins involved in DNA damage repair in cancer and antibiotic resistance in MRSA. She also worked in the Protein Engineering Department at Merck before coming to Princeton University.

In the Muir lab, She is interested in combining protein engineering and peptide chemistry to understand how chromatin aberrations lead to disease.

Outside the lab, she enjoys photography, scuba diving, swimming, biking, and reading.
